The Unknown Pleasures T-Shirt

Cosas con las que uno se encuentra en /mu/:

Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado en Santa Fe (01/09/12)

Gracias a la gente de Suena Rizoma, el pasado sábado 1 de septiembre pudimos contar con la presencia de Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado en Santa Fe. Todos los que vivimos en la ciudad somos concientes de la escasez de visitas de este tipo. Y en mi caso (y seguramente el de muchos mas), la visita era de, nada mas ni nada menos, una de mis bandas argentinas favoritas. Oportunidad imperdible.

Él Mató llegaba a Santa Fe como una banda madura, más crecida que aquella primera lejana vez que vinieron a la ciudad, en el año 2005. Además de su famosa trilogía de Ep’s conceptuales referentes al nacimiento, la vida, y la muerte (Navidad de reserva, Un millón de euros, y Noche de los Muertos), los platenses tocaron en eventos importantes, estuvieron de gira dos veces en Europa, y se convirtieron en los principales referentes de una escena Argentina marginada, y con una forma muy propia de entender al rock. Como si fuera poco, se encuentran a punto de editar su esperadísimo segundo LP, que ya dio a luz su primer single: “Mujeres bellas y fuertes”.

Luego de la apertura de ÑÑÑÑ con su propuesta electro-rockera, seguido del DJ Set de Nacho y el Robot, llegó la hora de presenciar lo que todos esperábamos. Luego del cálido y relajado saludo de Santiago Motorizado, comenzaron a sonar los primeros acordes de Navidad en los santos. El pogo fue instantáneo, al igual que el coreo, y las decenas de voces repitiendo la letra. Lo mismo sucedió en Viejo ebrio y perdido, y luego, en El día del huracán, donde se produjeron pequeños disturbios entre el público que, afortunadamente, no pasaron a mayores. Siguieron las dos canciones de su recientemente estrenado single, Mujeres bellas y fuertes, con ese bajo zigzagueante a lo Pixies, y Dos galaxias, hermosísima canción de amor que supuso un break luego de la intensidad de las canciones anteriores. Pero el descanso no duró demasiado porque la siguiente canción fue Chica rutera, canción amada por la comunidad motorizada, sucedida por Diamante, la única canción que tocaron de aquel primer álbum editado en el 2004.

Se sucedieron Amigo piedra y Vienen bajando, y así transcurrió la noche, con un cantante por momentos sedado, y por otros gritando notas altísimas, dos guitarristas reminiscentes de Thurston Moore y Lee Ranaldo, y mucho mosh. En la recta final sonaron El último sereno, Día de los muertos, y la esperadísima Mi Próximo Movimiento, que se anunció como la última canción. Sin embargo, hubo tiempo para un tema más, y el elegido fue Noche de los muertos, con su comienzo baladístico, su crecimiento en tempo e intensidad, hasta el estallido en mágicos fragmentos de noise espacial. Un cierre magistral para una hermosa noche llena de ruido, barrio, amor, y fuzz.

Friends.

A veces pienso que si se hiciera una lista de los tópicos más pussys en canciones, el de la amistad debería estar entre los primeros puestos. Inclusive, pueden llegar a ganarle a la canción de amor más insufrible que haya. O quizás, es el simple hecho de que hablar de canciones sobre amistad, me remite inmediatamente a “que un amigo es uuuuuuuuna luuuuuz”, y por ende, mi rechazo termina siendo mucho más comprensible.



De cualquier manera, siempre hay excepciones, y aprovechando la ocasión (Día del amigo en Argentina) y el hecho de que hace meses que no subo nada, armé esta suerte de compilado de canciones que hablan, en mayor o menor medida, sobre la amistad. O las que simplemente tengan un “friend” en el título. O las que me haya tirado Google.



Quedaron varias afuera, para que la lista mantenga un mínimo de coherencia.

Los 30 discos del 2011

Los rankings tienen un encanto difícil de explicar. Quiero decir, todos insultamos estas listas, decimos que no tienen buen criterio, que las elecciones son pésimas, pero sin embargo, no podemos contener nuestra curiosidad con respecto a ellas. Las leemos, las comparamos entre sí, buscamos si incluyeron aquel ítem que creemos debe estar obligatoriamente. Después de todo, no hay quién no haga sus propias listas.

Pero algo a destacar, es que las listas nunca se mantienen fijas para su autor. Yo veo el ranking que hice el año pasado, sobre mis discos favoritos del 2010, y me encuentro con que hoy en día, alteraría muchas posiciones, e incluso, quitaría varios de esos discos en reemplazo de otros que en ese momento, no tuve la suerte de escuchar.

Así que esta lista, trató de ser lo más objetiva con respecto a lo que sentía, en el momento en que la armaba. Mañana, puedo pensar en un orden totalmente distinto, y más aún teniendo en cuenta que me quedaron muchos discos sin escuchar. Algo a destacar es que este año, de todo lo que escuché, no me pareció que haya un disco que se aleje lo suficiente del resto, como para señalarlo instantáneamente mi disco favorito. Si bien hay un primer puesto, me costó bastante definirlo, y no le lleva demasiada ventaja a sus competidores inmediatos.
